Vertical Form Fill Seal Machines
Intermittent Vertical form fill seal machines:
An intermitted vertical form fill seal machine operates at 50-80 bags/ minute depending on the product and the bag size. These machines stop for a fraction of a second to fill, seal and cut the bag. The film pulling mechanism of these machines could either be friction belts or it could be hydraulic pull bar.
Continuous Motion Vertical form fill seal machines:
A continuous motion vertical form fill seal machine operates at 120-180 bags/ minute depending on the product and the bag size. These machines do not stop even for a fraction of a second to fill , seal and cut the bag rather the sealing and cutting jaws of the machine travel in the x - y axis along the packaging film to perform fill , seal and cut operation while the bag is travelling down the forming tube path.
